425M: 425M Evaporator
Mermaid's 425M bendable evaporator plate is designed to refrigerate and/or freeze and area with good insulation of no more than 15 cubic feet for refrigeration and 4 cubic feet for a freezer. It is ideal for top and front box openings.
The largest of the Mermaid bendable evaporator plates, the 425M is designed with ease of installation in mind. Provided pre-charged and pre-drilled for mounting, the 425M plate is ideal for top or front opening boxes with refrigeration and freezing in mind. Each Mermaid evaporator plate is provided with the quick connections pre-installed.
The plate is bendable to a minimum radius of 1.5" and needs to be done accurately and carefully not to crease or collapse the refrigeration lines. It is recommended to use a 2" PVC pipe and bend only in the designated bending areas. For optimal efficiency, ensure the white plate is mounted on the side wall of the insulated box. If possible, keep the inlet/outlet refrigeration tube near the top of the box. This is the coldest section of the white plate and will result in a colder box if installed on the wall with the tubing entering/leaving near the top of the box.
